Hofkontor AG was founded by Dirk Detlefsen and Carl Heinrich in August 2002. The idea that united the two was developing innovative concepts for rural areas, using existing capacities more effectively, and developing new potentials. Following this idea, Hofkontor AG was the first company in Germany to develop an innovative farm management system aimed at reducing costs in agriculture both nationally and internationally. The company’s aim is to become one of the leading international farm management companies.

Since its foundation, Hofkontor AG has intensively pursued the development of regenerative energy in the solar or biogas areas and has consequently focused on this future market. The market for biomass and its use in energy production offers farming a great outlook for the future. In the coming years, other forms of regenerative energy, such as photovoltaics or wind power, will also still have massive growth potential.
